Save to CurTask (browser extension)

Save to CurTask, a free extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave, is coming soon; here is what it will do and what to use until then.

Save to CurTask is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Brave. It is coming soon: it is not in the browser stores yet. The Download page will show the install buttons when it is ready.

What it will do

Open it on the paper you're reading, and the paper goes into your Global Library, ready to read and analyse. It will:

  • save the paper's details, its PDF (using your own access, such as your university library's), the projects and tags you choose, and a note, in one click;
  • show each step as it happens, from details saved to text read;
  • tell you when a paper has no PDF: its details are saved and marked, so you can add the PDF later (see Papers without a PDF);
  • save several papers at once from a Google Scholar results list;
  • add small Save buttons on Google Scholar and publisher pages, which you can switch off.

It will be free on every plan. Saving papers uses no credits; the PDFs you save count towards your storage like any import, and AI analysis uses credits as usual, only after you see the cost and confirm.

What it will see

The extension reads a page only when you open it or press Save, and only what identifies the paper (title, authors, year, journal, DOI and PDF link). It talks only to CurTask. It never sees your password, your browsing history or your papers' text. The privacy policy has the details.

Until then

To hear when the extension is ready, sign up with product news switched on, or turn on Product news by email in Settings → Notifications & email.
