Step by step
Export your matrix
Download your literature matrix as a CSV file to open in Excel, Google Sheets or any spreadsheet.

Your literature matrix can leave CurTask as a spreadsheet, for an appendix, a supervisor meeting or your own analysis. The export is free and works on every plan.

Step 1Open the matrix
In your project, open the Analysis lens and choose Matrix.

Step 2Choose Export CSV
In the toolbar above the matrix, choose Export CSV. The file downloads straight away, named after your project.
Step 3Open it in a spreadsheet
Open the file in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or LibreOffice. Each paper is one row, with its Title, Authors, Year and DOI. Then each column of your matrix gives two columns: its value, and the page the value came from (for example Sample size and Sample size (page)).
A few things to know:
- A cell where the paper doesn't say reads Not reported, Unclear or Not applicable; a cell without a checked quote reads No source found.
- A value you typed yourself has no page.
- When a column allows several choices, they are separated by semicolons.
- The quotes stay in CurTask. To see the passage behind a value, open the cell in the matrix.
What's next
- Cite a matrix value in your draft, with its quote and page.
- Read what each cell state means.
