Code your papers

Code passages with one codebook, with every coded passage pinned to its page.

Coding by hand means highlighters, a codebook in a spreadsheet, and no easy way back to the passage behind each code. In CurTask, your codes live in one codebook, and every coded passage stays pinned to its page, whether you coded it or the AI suggested it. In the Analysis lens, choose Coding, then pick a paper.

Select a passage, and the code picker opens. Choose a code, or type a new name to create one. Coloured coding strips appear beside the text.

Click one to jump back to its passage. The codebook counts every passage. Rename, colour, nest or merge codes as your ideas settle.

To go faster, choose Code all papers with AI. You see the cost first, and nothing is coded until you accept it. Review each suggestion with its quote and page, then accept or dismiss it, one by one or all at once.

Every code, back to its passage. That is CurTask.
