The synthesis map

Turn codes into categories and themes, and see where studies agree, contradict or extend each other.

Read the transcript

Three hundred codes are not a finding yet. The hard part is seeing how they fit together, and where the studies disagree. The Synthesis map turns your codes into categories and themes, then links quotes across papers: where they agree, contradict, or extend each other.

Open the Synthesis map. On the Board, drag codes into categories, or let the AI suggest them. Turn a category into a theme, write it as one sentence, and choose the research questions it answers.

In Network, pick a quote, then one from another paper, and say how they relate: Agrees, Contradicts, or Extends. Link all with AI suggests these lines for every theme. Each one is marked Suggested by AI until you accept it.

The Map view shows each theme's agreements and contradictions at a glance. When a theme is ready, Send to Writing turns it into a new section of your draft. From codes to an argument.

That is CurTask.
