Baggage: what a paper carries into every project

Everything learned about a paper, from its details to its AI analyses, travels with it into every project and is reused at no cost.

You read a paper in March. By June, all you remember is that it was important. In CurTask, everything you learn about a paper stays with it. We call it the paper's Baggage.

What is in a paper's Baggage

  • Its details: title, authors, year, journal and DOI, found automatically or added by you.
  • Its full text, page by page, read from the text layer or with OCR.
  • Its AI analyses: the summary, methods, sample, findings and the rest, each with the page and the quote it came from.
  • Your tags and notes.

Open a paper and choose the Baggage tab to see it all as a timeline.

It travels into every project

A paper is stored once, in your Global Library. When you add it to a second project, its Baggage comes along: you don't import it again, and you don't pay for its analyses again. The Baggage tab shows 0 credits to reuse.

Some things belong to one project only, such as a note you wrote for that project. The timeline marks them Only in that project; everything else Travels with the paper.

Older analyses stay as they are

When CurTask's analyses improve, the ones you already have are never quietly redone. If an improved version is available, the Baggage tab says Improved analysis available. Choose Refresh… to see the cost first, and decide.

Baggage is private

A paper's Baggage is yours alone. No one else sees your notes, tags, text or analyses. See Private by default.
