One good paper leads to others: the papers it cites, and the newer papers that cite it. The Connections tab shows both, so you can follow the trail without leaving CurTask.

  1. Opening a paper's details from a project's library

    Step 1Open the paper

In your Global Library or a project's Library lens, choose a paper's row to open its details.

  2. The Connections tab with the paper's references

    Step 2Open the Connections tab

    Choose the Connections tab.

If the paper has no DOI yet, the tab says No DOI yet. Add the DOI on the Metadata tab and come back.

  3. Scrolling from References to Cited by

Step 3Browse its references and citing papers

References lists the papers this paper cites. Cited by lists newer papers that cite it. Each list shows how many there are; choose Show more to see more.

Papers you already have are marked in library: choose one to open it.

  4. The + Import button beside a reference

    Step 4Import a paper

Choose + Import beside a paper to add it to your Global Library. From a project's library, it is added to that project too. Importing uses no credits.

If a free (open-access) PDF exists, CurTask adds it for you. If not, the paper is saved with its details only and marked No PDF; you can add the PDF later. See Papers without a PDF.

  5. Used in lists the projects that include the paper

Step 5See where the paper is used

At the bottom, Used in lists your projects that include this paper. Choose a project to open the paper there.
