Change the app language and theme

Switch CurTask between English and Bahasa Melayu, and between light and dark.

CurTask works in English and Bahasa Melayu, in a light or a dark theme. Both choices are saved to your account, so they follow you to other devices.

  1. Settings, Language: switching to Bahasa Melayu and back

    Step 1Choose your language

    Choose Settings (the gear in the rail, bottom left), then Language. Under Interface language, choose English or Bahasa Melayu. The whole app switches at once.

    This changes the app's buttons and messages only. Each project's AI language, the language the AI writes its analyses in, is set separately for each project (see Set a project's AI language), and so is each import's OCR language. Quotes from papers always stay in their original language.

    Tip: the sign-in and sign-up pages have their own EN and BM switch at the top.

  2. Settings, Appearance: switching to Dark and back

    Step 2Choose light or dark

    In Settings, choose Appearance. Under Theme, choose:

    • Match system: follows your computer's light or dark setting.
    • Light
    • Dark

  3. Step 3Or change them by typing

    Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) to open the command palette and type "theme" or "language". Choose, for example, Switch to the dark theme or Change language to Bahasa Melayu, and press Enter. See Find your way around.
