The reader shows a paper's PDF (or a document's text) in a panel on the right, so you can read it next to the paper's details, your matrix or your draft. It is also where every AI quote leads: choose a page link and the reader opens on that page with the quote highlighted.

Step 1Open the reader
Open a paper's details and choose Open in reader at the bottom. The Reader panel opens on the right with the paper's title at the top.
To close it, choose the × at its top right. You can drag its left edge to make it wider or narrower.

Step 2Zoom in and out
Use the magnifying glass buttons, Zoom in and Zoom out, to change the size. The number between them is the current zoom. Fit to width makes the page fill the panel again.

Step 3Go to a page
Type a page number in the box (it shows of the number of pages beside it) and press Enter. The arrows on either side go to the Previous page and Next page. You can also just scroll.

Step 4Jump to the quote behind an AI result
Every AI value in CurTask comes with a page link, such as p.6. Point at it to see the quote; choose it and the reader opens at that page with the quoted passage highlighted in yellow.
If the wording on the page differs a little from the quote, the reader highlights the closest match and says so. This is how you check any AI value against the paper itself. See How the AI finds its evidence.
What's next
- Quote from the reader into your draft: in the Writing lens, select a passage and choose Quote in draft.
- The evidence line: see where a quote in your matrix or draft comes from.
