Get the Student plan

Sign up with your university email, or switch an account you already have, confirm you're enrolled, then choose the Student plan.

The Student plan is for university and college students. It has the same AI help as the Researcher plan, with fewer credits and less space, for a lower price. See Plans and what paid plans add.

It goes with your university email: you sign in with your university email, and you declare that you're currently enrolled. That unlocks the student price; then you choose the Student plan and pay, monthly or yearly.

  1. The Students section of the Pricing page

    Step 1New account: choose Sign up as a student

    On the Pricing page, find Students and choose Sign up as a student.

    Create your account opens with I want the student price already ticked. Type your university email in Email and choose a password.

    Tick I am currently enrolled at this university, then choose Create account.

    Tip: a false declaration breaks CurTask's Terms of service.

  3. Step 3Confirm your email and choose the plan

    Open the confirmation email CurTask sends to your university inbox, then sign in. CurTask confirms your student status and shows Student price unlocked.

    Choose Choose a Student plan. Pay for Student opens: go on from step 6. (Chose Not now? Choose the plan later from Settings → Billing, with Upgrade.)

  4. Choose a plan, with the pointer on Choose Student

    In Settings → Billing, choose Upgrade. In Choose a plan, choose Choose Student.

    If you already pay for the Researcher plan by card, choose Switch to the student price under Your plan instead. You keep Researcher until the end of the period you paid for, then move to the student price (there's no refund for the rest of that period).

    Switch to the student price opens. The student price goes with your university email, so your university email becomes the email you sign in with.

    • Your sign-in email isn't a university email: type your university email in University email, tick I am currently enrolled at this university and choose Send confirmation link. Open the link CurTask sends to your university inbox (and the one sent to your current address, if there is one), come back to CurTask and press the button that says you've opened the link.
    • You already sign in with your university email: just tick I am currently enrolled at this university and choose Confirm and continue.

  6. Step 6Pay for the Student plan

    Pay for Student opens. Choose One month or One year, then How you'd like to pay: by card (renews automatically; cancel any time) or FPX online banking (pays for this month or year). If you have a promotion code, use Have a code?.

    Choose Continue to payment and pay on the secure payment page. Back in CurTask, Settings → Billing shows Your plan is updated once the payment arrives. See Upgrade your plan or buy credits for the payment page.

What's next

In Settings → Billing, the Student status box says "Student status confirmed until" a date, a year from now.

Student status lasts 12 months. Once a year, CurTask asks you to confirm it again: in Settings → Billing, choose Send code, type the 6-digit code from your inbox and confirm you're still enrolled.
