Plans and what paid plans add

The three plans

Prices are in ringgit. Paying yearly costs less than twelve months. These are the plans as the Pricing page shows them today; the Pricing page always has the current prices and amounts. For what credits are and how they are used, see How credits work.

What every plan can do

On every plan, including Free:

• The Global Library, the reader, highlights and notes.
• Papers read on your own device: text and scanned pages.
• Papers saved without their PDF, with the PDF added later.
• AI for your everyday work: analyse papers and fill your matrix.
• The literature matrix.
• Coding your papers by hand, with the codebook, coding strips and memos.
• The synthesis board: build categories and themes yourself and mark how papers relate.
• Writing with citations in 8 styles.
• Export to Word, PDF, Markdown and web page.
• Searching millions of papers and importing them, and finding papers like the ones in your project.
• Reusing an analysis you already have, at no cost.
• Stopping any time and keeping all your work.
• Your work stays private, stored in Malaysia, and you can download all of it.

What the paid plans add

The Student and Researcher plans add:

• Faster, stronger AI: quicker answers, a more careful AI for the harder tasks, and your work goes first in the queue.
• AI suggests codes across all your papers in a project, or one paper at a time. See AI coding.
• AI suggests categories and themes from your codes, on your synthesis board. See AI on the Synthesis Map.
• AI suggests which papers agree or contradict, across every theme you've accepted.
• Finds published studies that back your claims, including ones you don't have yet. See Claim support.
• A writing sidebar that appears as you write. On Free, it works when you ask, after you see the credits. See The insight margin.
• We finish reading if your device can't: close the tab or switch off, and your papers still get read. See Keep the tab open while papers are read.
• Export without the CurTask footer.
• More credits and more space (the table above).

Every AI suggestion, on every plan, stays Suggested until you accept it. See "Suggested": you stay the author.

Spotting a paid feature

In the app, a paid feature on the Free plan shows its button with a ✦ and a small Paid plans badge with a yellow gem. Choosing it takes you to the plans, where you can upgrade; it never spends anything.

See and change your plan

Your plan is in Settings → Billing, under Your plan, and in the Credits and plan panel on Home (its Billing link opens the same page).

To choose a paid plan, open Settings → Billing and choose Upgrade. Choose a plan compares the three plans; switch between Monthly and Yearly to see both prices, then choose Choose Student or Choose Researcher. You pay on a secure payment page, by card (renews automatically until you cancel) or by FPX online banking (pays for one month or one year). Step by step: Upgrade your plan or buy credits.

While a paid plan is running, choose Change plan in Settings → Billing to move to another plan, or back to Free. The change always happens at the end of the period you've paid for, never before, and nothing is charged that day. CurTask shows you what happens and when, for example "Your plan changes to Student on 19 Nov", and you keep your current plan and its credits until then. Changed your mind? Choose Keep next to that notice (for example Keep Researcher) and nothing changes.

• Paying by card: from that date your card is charged the new plan's price, for the same month or year as now. Choosing Free means your card isn't charged again.
• Paying by FPX: pay for the new plan with FPX before the date (choose Pay for and the plan's name). You can pay early; the new plan starts when the current one ends. Choosing Free means there's nothing more to pay.

The new plan's monthly credits start on the day it starts; top-ups keep their dates. The Student plan needs student status: see Get the Student plan.

No account yet? On the Pricing page, choose Sign up to choose under a paid plan; after you sign up, you choose the plan in Settings → Billing.

The Student plan needs a university email: see Get the Student plan.

Paying by card or FPX

• Card: charged again at the end of each month or year until you cancel. To change your card or cancel, choose Manage card or cancel in Settings → Billing (or Change plan, then Choose Free); you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
• FPX online banking: pays for one month or one year. CurTask emails you 7 days and 1 day before it ends; choose Renew in Settings → Billing to keep the plan.

Each payment gets an invoice: download it from Invoices in Settings → Billing.

If you stop paying

You go back to Free when your paid period ends. Your papers, notes, codes and writing stay. If you use more space than Free allows, your work becomes read-only until you upgrade or remove some papers.
