A project works with the papers you add to it. Every paper lives once in your Global Library, so adding it to a project doesn't copy it or import it again. It brings its Baggage along: analyses you already have are reused at 0 credits.

  1. Add from Global Library in a project's Library

    Step 1Open the project's library

Open the project and go to its Library lens. At the top is Add from Global Library.

  2. Searching and ticking papers in Add papers from your Global Library

Step 2Tick the papers to add

Choose Add from Global Library. The Add papers from your Global Library window lists all your papers. Type in the search box to find them by title, author or DOI, and tick the ones you want. Papers already in the project are marked Already here in the In project column.

Choose Add (the button says how many papers) to add them, or Cancel.

  3. Two papers ticked in the Global Library, and Add to project

Step 3Or start from your Global Library

In your Global Library, tick the papers and choose Add to project in the bar above the list. For a single paper, you can also open its More actions menu (⋯ at the end of its row) and choose Add to project….

  4. The Add papers to a project window

    Step 4Choose the project

Pick the project under Project and choose Add to project. The papers keep their Baggage: analyses already made are reused at 0 credits.

  5. Step 5Or add them while you set up a project

The last step of a new project, Set up workspace, offers Also add papers from your Global Library: papers that match your keywords, title and research questions, at 0 credits. None are ticked; tick the ones you want. See Start a project.

  6. Step 6Remove a paper you no longer need

In the project's Library, tick the paper and choose Remove from project in the bar above the list. It stays in your Global Library and in your other projects.
